You may then ask questions about the classes. About the classes Young babies eagerly respond to music when given the opportunity to experience it and the sooner, the better. These classes are high-quality, structured and creative, based on the Colourstrings Kodaly model and using my own wide range of experience. They are held in a positive, friendly and stimulating environment where the children will have a multi-sensory and active musical experience through singing, listening, performing and accompaniment with percussion instruments. The classes nurture the whole child, training the attention and supporting social, academic and motor development, helping each child grow into a confident individual as well as building a love and appreciation of music that will last a lifetime. Scientific studies have shown that music tuition for babies enhances speech development, cognitive development and educational attainment. Pictures, musical stories, soft toys and games are used to bring alive the musical elements so that children learn unconsciously and effortlessly. Folk songs, nursery rhymes, action songs, call-and-response games, memory games and copying games, dancing, free movement and the use of tuned and untuned percussion all inspire core music skills such as listening and responsive participation both of which enable a child to learn easily in different situations. High/low (pitch), short/ long (rhythm), slow/fast (tempo), loud/soft (dynamics), character, mood and style are all introduced from the very beginning through a variety of musical activities. A feature of every class is a short period of quiet, focused listening to live classical or folk music from different periods and cultures. Bouncing songs, tickling and peekaboo games, lullabies, circle dances, rolling and seesaw activities encourage babies and toddlers to become aware of their bodies as they start to gain more control over their movements and develop their language and communication skills through listening and hearing others sing. The classes also provide an opportunity for the carers to develop confidence in their own singing voices! As the children are get older, the class includes more movement, circle dances and musical activities that focus on keeping the beat along with developing co-ordination, listening and language skills. They can join in with action songs, contribute ideas and choose whether to go fast or slow. This training is a superb introduction to the learning of a musical instrument at the age of 5 years. Every week for little ones is precious - join us straight away while space lasts! With music, one's whole future life is brightened … Music should belong to everyone. Zoltán Kodály
